Philanthropy – Building a future
At Luxury Home Development, we know that we cannot change the world .... but we want to continue to make a difference.
Opportunities to get involved
Connect & participate directly with people in need
We have chosen to support and promote the following projects because we have direct involvement with them.
These are all GRASS ROOTS projects - run by individuals who turn their talk and intentions in ACTION - stepping outside their own sphere of existence to help others in need.
New Hope for Cambodian Children - Cambodia

New Hope supports children with HIV/Aids. In many cases these children are orphans who have lost their parents to AIDS. NHCC has set up a village outside Phnom Penh where 200 children live and receive education and vocational training, as well as good nutrition and access to medical and hospital treatment.
They have numerous projects - including a Quilt making project where women who have HIV/ Aids, who have been widowed or abandoned - make quilts to earn a living and support their children.
The current range features an elephant or donkey and comes in a variety of colour. Please contact us if you would like to purchase one of these beautiful quilts and to see the complete range.
Price is $150.00. All money is sent to New Hope for Cambodian Children through the Australia Cambodian Foundation Inc. Please visit their website on: www.newhopeforcambodianchildren.com

Green Gecko Project
The GREEN GECKO project is an initiative founded to benefit the lives of street children in Siem Reap, Cambodia. A recently emerging town located in the north-west of the country, it is home to the world’s largest religious site ‘Angkor Wat’ and consequently, a hastily growing tourism industry.
The GREEN GECKO Project now supports children that are ex-beggars! 97% of our kids are off the street and all kids of school age are now attending accredited Khmer school.
The GREEN GECKO project is about empowering these children with skills, education, care and support to enable them to break the begging cycle and live to their highest potential. It also provides shelter, care and stability for those physically battered or psychologically in need.
At GREEN GECKO, the children can eat a hot lunch, attend an English class, feel secure, play, get a hug, put their pictures up on the wall, have a shower, get their hair combed, nails cut, brush their teeth and receive medical attention. They can attend fun excursions and receive the chance to expand their interests and knowledge of new subjects, by participating (somewhat enthusiastically) in dance, art and craft, drama, photography, gymnastics and performance classes

Run by Australian born Tania Palmer, co-director of hugabub.com – a baby sling company located in Byron Bay, Australia, and her Cambodian husband Rem, Green Gecko Project provides shelter, care and stability, positive role models, micro businesses, family support, nutrition packs, medical treatment, a loving safe environment and the opportunity to play and belong through the following programs.
